Sui's practice focuses on general business and international law, with emphasis in the Asia Pacific region. She holds a Certificate of Distinction in International Law from Golden Gate University School of Law. Sui speaks several Chinese dialects (Mandarin, Cantonese, and Teochew), Vietnamese, and Cambodian. In addition to having traveled extensively in the recent past in Asia, and other parts of the world, Sui spent the first ten years of her life in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Prior to joining Royse Law Firm, Sui served as staff counsel for Safeco Insurance Companies (now members of the Liberty Mutual Group of Companies) defending primarily personal injury and construction defect suits. During the course of her five year tenure, she successfully resolved over two hundred cases (which she managed from start to finish) via mediation, arbitration, binding arbitration, settlement conferences, and negotiations. Sui also served as Judge Pro Temp for the Eldorado County Court on related cases. Prior to Safeco, Sui was a staff attorney at the Asian Law Alliance defending eviction suits and counseling on employment issues.
